The Board of Education is pleased to partner with McPherson & Jacobson, LLC, a national consulting firm, in the search for the next superintendent for the Clinton Community School District. The board plans to select a permanent superintendent by mid December 2025.
This search starts with posting for the position and planning sessions with McPherson & Jacobson. In the coming days and weeks, the group will work to connect with stakeholders and gather information from the community on what is looking for in our next superintendent.

Phase II: Vacancy Announcement & Advertising
October 3 – Position formally announced by M&J
October 3–31 – Advertising period begins (AASA, WSLC, WECAN)
Phase III: Stakeholder Input & Application Review
October 6–November 4 – Applications window open for candidates to apply
October 8–22 – Stakeholder Survey Open
October 20–22 – Stakeholder Meetings (dates/times TBD)
November 4 – Summary of survey results and meeting feedback compiled into themes and provided to the Board of Education
Phase IV: Board Review & Interviews
November 6 (2nd BOE Meeting)
Board reviews stakeholder feedback
Discusses applicants and selects candidates for Round One Interviews
Determines interview dates, questions, and stakeholder involvement in Round Two
November 10 – Stakeholder survey results posted on district website and social media
Week of November 17 – Round One Interviews with BOE (2–3 finalists will likely be selected)
December 4 (3rd BOE Meeting) – Additional planning and updates
Week of December 8 – Round Two Interviews with finalist candidates & stakeholder groups
Week of December 15 – Finalist selected, offer extended, and contract negotiations begin
Phase V: Selection & Transition
Special December BOE meeting or January 8 (4th BOE Meeting) – Board approves new superintendent contract
Spring 2026 (5th BOE Meeting) – Goal-setting session with the new superintendent to establish 2–3 performance objectives and review progress plans
