The Clinton Community School District utilizes a wide range of technology for our students and staff.
The district primarily utilizes Google for its day to day operations. Both students and staff utilize the Google Apps for Education Suite which includes but is not limited to Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Scholar, and many others.
Students in 4k and K have access to iPads and Chromebooks along with a few Windows Desktops.
Students in Grades 1-5 are 1:1 with Chromebooks. These grade levels typically leave the devices at school at the end of the day.
Our 6th graders through Seniors have the option to utilize a district-owned Chromebook which they can take home with them throughout the school year or they can bring in their own device with our BYOD policy.
Chromebooks owned by the district are filtered both at school and at home, while BYOD devices can only be filtered while in the school building.
Over the past four years, we have reduced the number of computer labs we have. There are currently two computer labs located at the High School. The first is our CAD Lab utilized by our CTE department to run our Auto desk Inventor and Revit applications. The other is our Business and Digital Media Lab which runs all of our Adobe Products such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, etc, as well as our Microsoft Office products. With the reduction of labs, we are able to ensure we are continually updating these machines.
Other technologies utilized within the district are Vex Robotics, Smartboards, Interactive TVs, Greenroom and Broadcasting Equipment, Audio Recording, and much more!
Our Educators are equipped with Microsoft Surface Laptop 3's. Each Educator has a Document Camera and either a Projector or TV for projection in each classroom.
