Mrs. Stewart's News

Hello Cougar families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Parent-teacher conferences are coming up in just a few short weeks! Please take some time to log in to Skyward to review your student’s progress and prepare any questions or concerns you would like to discuss with their teachers.

We continue to work with families to provide a better understanding of CJSH’s grading and reporting processes. Please take a moment to review the helpful links below to learn more about our grading philosophy and practices.

Yondr pouches continue to be a focus during our morning arrival. We have several students who are having difficulty locating their assigned pouches. Please check around your home for any missing pouches and help your student make sure theirs is ready to go each morning.

Tardiness also continues to be a focus. As a reminder, tardies at the beginning of the school day will accumulate toward a full-day absence. Please review page 27 of the student handbook for more information about how tardies are managed.

Thank you for your continued support of CJSH! We appreciate our families and remain committed to providing every student with a positive environment where they can learn, grow, and succeed.

As always, please reach out to the office if you have any questions or concerns.

Have a great week, Cougars!
One Pride. One Purpose. Better Together.

Weekly Roar

The AD’s Huddle

As we reach the middle of October, it is hard to believe how quickly the fall sports season is moving. Our Cougar student-athletes and coaches continue to represent Clinton with tremendous effort, energy, and pride.
This time of year is about more than scores and standings. It is about the growth that takes place through competition—the lessons learned from both wins and losses, the relationships built with teammates and coaches, and the character demonstrated when things don’t always go as planned.
As we begin to approach the end of the fall sports season, please be on the lookout for our End-of-Season SportsSurvey. We value the feedback of our student-athletes and families, and your input helps us identify what we are doing well and where we can continue to improve the Clinton Cougar Athletics experience. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey when it becomes available.
One Team. One Mission. One Cougar Family.

From the Behavioral Specialist

Hey Cougars,

Thank you all so much for an amazing Homecoming week! It was great to see our school come together as one, and I truly appreciate everyone who helped out or contributed in any way. It was a great success — we celebrated a Cougar Homecoming win and heard nothing but great things about the dance.
I just have a few quick updates to share:
Please remember to talk with your students about our personal electronics policy here at school. Students are not allowed to carry personal devices like cell phones, smartwatches, or personal laptops during the school day. We’re still seeing some of these devices coming into school, and occasionally sneaking in without us noticing. Students have been reminded that these items are not permitted at school. Your support in chatting with your students about this means a lot. Thank you.
Also, to help us keep our schedule running smoothly, please make sure you are getting to school on time and getting to each of our classes on time. Tardies are starting to pile up, and the end of the 1st quarter is Friday, October 30th.
Lastly, Yondr pouches are school property. Students are responsible for keeping their assigned pouch in good condition and may not damage, tamper with, or attempt to bypass the pouch. Students are responsible for their assigned Yondr pouch and any replacement pouch they receive. A $25 charge will be assessed for any Yondr pouch that is lost, damaged, not returned, or otherwise disappears.
The best is ahead!
Let's have a great week, Cougars!

WORK-BASED LEARNING

Work Base learning

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Throughout the 2026-2027 school year, our Work-Based Learning Coordinator will lead Clinton Junior Senior High students on numerous career exploration field trips. These hands-on opportunities give 7th-12th grade students valuable insight into various industries and career pathways.

To streamline the process for families, please complete the 2026-2027 Work-Based Learning Field Trip Consent & Opt-Out Notice Google Form:      https://forms.gle/3ANG89XTXm9rVbdi9
** If you need a physical copy of this form, please email kapaynter@clintonwis.com and we will send one home with your student or email you a copy.

By completing this form and granting consent, your CJSH student(s) will not be required to submit individual permission slips for every Work-Based Learning career exploration trip they wish to attend this year.

Important Policy & Trip Details:
  • Scope: This consent covers CJSH academic and career exploration field trips occurring during regular school day hours (8:00 AM - 3:15 PM).
  • Potential Destinations: Trips may include, but are not limited to: Hendricks CareerTek, Blackhawk Technical College, UW-Whitewater, Scot Forge, JP Cullen, Frito-Lay, and other local business and educational partners.
  • Transportation: Transportation will be provided via Clinton Community School District (CCSD) vehicles or GoRiteway buses.
  • Supervision: All trips are supervised by CJSH staff members.
  • Advance Notification: Parents/guardians will be notified via ParentSquare at least one week prior to any specific field trip their student signs up to attend.

Exceptions:
  • Any field trips taking place outside of regular school hours (evenings or weekends) will still require a separate, physical paper permission slip.
  • Field trips organized by individual classroom teachers will also still require standard separate permission forms.

Thank you for supporting your student’s career exploration journey! Please reach out if you have any questions.
