District Administrator Welcome

Hello, Cougar Community!

It is truly an honor to introduce myself as the new Superintendent of the Clinton Community School District. From the moment I accepted this position, I have been excited about becoming part of a community that clearly cares deeply about its schools, its students, and one another. I am grateful for the warm welcome I've already received, and I can't wait to meet more of you in the months ahead.

This year marks my 29th year in public education in Wisconsin and my seventh year serving as a superintendent. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of serving as a special education teacher, director of pupil services, K-12 principal, superintendent, and even as a school board member. Each of those experiences has shaped who I am as an educator and reinforced my belief that strong schools are built through strong relationships.

People often ask what inspired me to become an educator.  I always knew I wanted to become a teacher because I believed education has the power to change lives and I saw the difference caring educators made in the lives of children. That dream led me to the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, where I earned my teaching degree and began a career that has been filled with incredible opportunities to serve students and families.

While this is a new chapter for me, Wisconsin has always been home. I grew up in the Antigo and Wausau area, and until coming to Clinton, all of my professional experience was in northeast Wisconsin. Although I'm new to this community, I already feel at home because the values that make rural communities special—hard work, kindness, resilience, and looking out for one another—are values I've experienced throughout my life.

I'm passionate about rural education. Smaller communities have something truly special: people who know one another, care for one another, and rally around their schools. Every student deserves opportunities to explore their interests, challenge themselves academically, and discover a path that prepares them for a successful future. My commitment is to work alongside our outstanding staff, families, and community members to ensure every Clinton student has those opportunities.

One thing you'll quickly learn about me is that I believe deeply in the power of gratitude and optimism. Those aren't just words to me—they're the values that guide how I lead, how I build relationships, and how I approach each day. I believe that when we focus on what we're thankful for and face challenges with optimism, amazing things can happen for our students and our schools.

One of the things I'm looking forward to most is becoming part of the Clinton community beyond the school walls. I hope to see you at athletic events, concerts, community celebrations, local businesses, and other gatherings throughout the year. I believe some of the most meaningful conversations happen outside the office, and I look forward to listening, learning, and building lasting relationships with the people who make this community so special.
