Clinton Junior/Senior High Office Staff
Meet the CJSH Office Staff
I am entering my 19th year in education, all of which I have spent right here in Clinton. I actually began my career as an intern in a first-grade classroom in the fall of 2007. I absolutely loved my time in the elementary classroom and had always dreamed of becoming an elementary teacher. However, everything happens for a reason, and I was offered a position teaching 7th-grade science and English at Clinton Middle School.
I spent nine amazing years teaching at CMS, where I built lasting relationships with both students and staff. As I entered my tenth year, I was offered the role of Dean of Students, where I spent the fall semester supporting the administration and assisting with student discipline. When we returned from winter break, I was asked to step into the role of interim principal at CMS. It turned out to be one of the best decisions of my career, as I discovered a true passion for leadership and for helping others become the best versions of themselves.
I then spent the next three years serving the middle school community as principal, and I loved every single second of it. When our community graciously voted in favor of a referendum to transition from three buildings to two, I was asked to move up to the Jr./Sr. High School as principal. I have had the privilege of leading the CJSH community ever since.
I truly love this community, our staff, and, most importantly, our students. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities Clinton has given me throughout my career, and I hope to spend many more years serving the Clinton Community School District and the students and families who make it such a special place.
- My role at CJSH: Principal
- I've been part of CCSD for: 18 years
- The best part of my job is: Working collaboratively with students and families to best support each student’s individual needs.
- Students can always come to me when: students can come to me anytime!
- One thing I want every student to know is: I will always listen first, seek to understand, and then help problem-solve.
- My favorite hobby or activity is: Spending time with my husband and dogs on the lake and attending Brewers games.
- A fun fact about me: I lived in the same house my entire childhood; from 3 months old, until I moved to college.
- My favorite school memory or moment: Anytime I am able to spend time with students in the classroom- being set on fire by our chemistry teacher, cooking sliders with our foods class.
- One word that describes CJSH: Family
I began my journey in education as a classroom teacher and have had the opportunity to serve students in several different roles over the years. I joined Clinton Community School District in 2024 after four years at Edgerton School District where I served as a 5th grade teacher. As a teacher I have continued to grow professionally through coaching, student support, and school leadership. I earned my degree in Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and earned my teaching license through the American Board. I am also continuing my education in School Business Management and Leadership at UW-Whitewater. As the Behavior Support Specialist, I work with students, staff, and families to support student behavior, attendance, school culture, and restorative practices while helping create a school environment where every student feels supported, valued, and capable of success.
- My role at CJSH: Behavior Support Specialist
- I've been part of CCSD for: 3 years
- The best part of my job is: Connecting with staff and students
- Students can always come to me when: You need someone to listen, support you, and help you find a way forward.
- One thing I want every student to know is: Your thoughts determine what you want, and your ACTIONS determine what you will get.
- My favorite hobby or activity is: Pretending I am a good golfer and playing basketball
- A fun fact about me: My ancestor, Harald Fairhair, was the first King of Norway who united the country into a single kingdom (c.872 to c. 930).
- My favorite school memory or moment: Cougar Care Kits with the 5th and 6th graders last year, when we assembled over 140 boxes of personal hygiene products for the Clinton Community Outreach to donate to local families around the holidays.
- One word that describes CJSH: Transformative
I am entering my 31st year in education. I spent my first two years in Stevens Point before coming to Clinton in 1998. I spent the next 27 years as a Physical Education and Health teacher, where I had the opportunity to work with and positively impact countless students. I currently serve as the Athletic Director for the Clinton Community School District. While my role has changed, my passion remains the same: supporting students, building relationships, and creating opportunities for young people to grow, learn, and succeed.
After more than three decades in education, I am grateful for the relationships and experiences that have shaped my career, and I look forward to continuing to serve the students, staff, and community of Clinton.
- My role at CJSH: Athletic Director
- I've been part of CCSD for: 30 Years
- The best part of my job is: The best part of being an athletic director is having the opportunity to use athletics as a vehicle to help young people become better students, teammates, leaders, and people.
- Students can always come to me when: Students can always come to me when they need someone in their corner.
- One thing I want every student to know is: Take chances, step outside of your comfort zone, and be willing to try something new. You never know where a new opportunity, a new challenge, or a simple “yes” might take you. Don’t be afraid to explore, make mistakes, learn from them, and discover what you’re capable of.
- My favorite hobby or activity is: Boating/Fishing
- A fun fact about me: I have run 3 marathons
- My favorite school memory or moment:When we do the CJSH Winter Olympics
