Mrs. Stewart's News

Hello Cougar families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Homecoming weekend! It was great to see our Cougar community come together and celebrate our students, school, and community.

As we head into a new week, please remember that attendance and being on time matter. Every day and every minute of learning counts. Thank you for helping us make being at school and ready to learn a priority.

As always, please reach out to the office if you have any questions or concerns.

Have a great week, Cougars!
One Pride. One Purpose. Better Together.

The AD’s Huddle

October is here, and Cougar Athletics continues to build momentum! As we move into the heart of the fall season, I want to recognize our student-athletes and coaches for their hard work, commitment, and Cougar Pride. The effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship displayed across our programs are what make being a Cougar special.
A big thank-you to our families, fans, volunteers, and community members who continue to show up and support our student-athletes. Your support makes a difference, and we appreciate the energy you bring to our events!
As we head into October, let's continue to represent Clinton with pride and compete with character.  Let's make it a great month to be a Cougar!
One Team. One Mission. One Cougar Family.

Next week Mrs Kluge will be setting up senior meetings. These meetings are approximately 15-20 minutes. We will review credits, graduation requirements, and any support needed for college/career planning. If a parent or guardian would like to attend the meeting with you, please sign up for a time that works for them as well. Sign up Senior Meetings

Yondr

Missing Yondrs

We have noticed an increase in students arriving at CJSH without their original Yondr pouch assigned to them at the beginning of the school year. Every student should be using their assigned pouch every day.

When students forget their pouch, it can create delays during our morning check-in process.
Please help your student establish a simple nightly routine to make sure they have everything they need for the next school day: Phone, Chromebook, charger, and their assigned Yondr pouch—packed and ready to go!

We also have a number of loaner Yondr pouches that have not yet been returned. Loaner pouches are identified with white numbers. If your student has a loaner pouch at home, please return it to the CJSH main office as soon as possible. Students should not continue using a loaner if they have their original assigned pouch.

Beginning next week, students who have taken a loaner pouch and have not returned it and/or have requested a replacement Yondr pouch will be charged a $25 replacement fee.

Please take a moment to check backpacks, bedrooms, and other areas of the home for any missing Yondr pouches and return them to CJSH.

Thank you for helping us keep our mornings running smoothly and supporting a focused learning environment at CJSH!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Throughout the 2026-2027 school year, our Work-Based Learning Coordinator will lead Clinton Junior Senior High students on numerous career exploration field trips. These hands-on opportunities give 7th-12th grade students valuable insight into various industries and career pathways.

To streamline the process for families, please complete the 2026-2027 Work-Based Learning Field Trip Consent & Opt-Out Notice Google Form:      https://forms.gle/3ANG89XTXm9rVbdi9
** If you need a physical copy of this form, please email kapaynter@clintonwis.com and we will send one home with your student or email you a copy.

By completing this form and granting consent, your CJSH student(s) will not be required to submit individual permission slips for every Work-Based Learning career exploration trip they wish to attend this year.

Important Policy & Trip Details:
  • Scope: This consent covers CJSH academic and career exploration field trips occurring during regular school day hours (8:00 AM - 3:15 PM).
  • Potential Destinations: Trips may include, but are not limited to: Hendricks CareerTek, Blackhawk Technical College, UW-Whitewater, Scot Forge, JP Cullen, Frito-Lay, and other local business and educational partners.
  • Transportation: Transportation will be provided via Clinton Community School District (CCSD) vehicles or GoRiteway buses.
  • Supervision: All trips are supervised by CJSH staff members.
  • Advance Notification: Parents/guardians will be notified via ParentSquare at least one week prior to any specific field trip their student signs up to attend.

Exceptions:
  • Any field trips taking place outside of regular school hours (evenings or weekends) will still require a separate, physical paper permission slip.
  • Field trips organized by individual classroom teachers will also still require standard separate permission forms.

Thank you for supporting your student’s career exploration journey! Please reach out if you have any questions.

Best regards,

Karli Paynter
