The CMS Social Studies department strives to integrate the social sciences to prepare students to become informed and responsible global citizens. This is accomplished through the study of 6th Grade Ancient Civilizations, 7th Grade World Geography and 8th Grade United States History. Students analyze change and continuity in the human condition through time and across cultures. Learning is promoted through skill development designed to prepare students to function in a diverse and democratic society.
