VIRTUAL LEARNING
The Clinton Community School District Board of Education approved a K-12 face-to-face Cohort Model to reopen and welcome students back into our classrooms on September 1, 2020. Parents, we care deeply for your children and we are very cognizant that some of you may not feel comfortable sending your kids to school, in-person, during this time of COVID. Here is the information you need to know about the Co-Hort Model as well as the first step in signing up for Virtual Learning at the Clinton Community School District.
Academic Model Determined by the Clinton Board of Education - 8/5/2020
PK-Grade 5:
Families choose between full-time distance learning and in-person learning with half of remaining students attending Monday/Tuesday, half Thursday/Friday with Wednesday rotating between the two cohorts. (Orange)
Grades 6-12:
Families choose between full-time distance learning and in-person learning with half of remaining students attending Monday/Tuesday, half Thursday/Friday with Wednesday rotating between the two cohorts. (Orange)
Is there an option for Virtual Learning? YES! Clinton students who are in Kindergarten through 12th Grade are eligible to take some or all of their school courses ONLINE through Clinton Connect. Clinton Connect is a student, self-paced online curriculum, granted they have a course offering that aligns with CCSD’s requirements.
Who is Eligible for Virtual Learning through Clinton Connect? Kindergarten through 12th Grade
What about 4K students? While Clinton Connect is not an option for 4K students, we are developing a HOME-BASED learning model for those parents who choose to enroll their 4K students in FULL-TIME virtual learning.
How do I enroll my student in VIRTUAL LEARNING during this COVID Crisis?
1) Please fill out this Virtual Learning Survey and then contact your child's building principal immediately. Based on enrollment and available staff, there may also be a virtual option that includes synchronous (live) instruction from a Clinton Community School District teacher. Decisions regarding the availability of this option will be determined based on the results of this survey.
