Grade 8 Individual Planning Conferences are now being scheduled from January 17 to March 3, 2017 at Clinton Middle School. This specially designed conference is for guardians, students, and counselor to focus on the student’s current talents and interests, their educational and career development, next year’s high school plan, and information to begin planning for their future.
Individual Planning Conferences are specifically designed for students and parents/guardians to gain insight into the direction the student is headed in the future. The conferences will be held in the counseling area at the middle school and typically last about 45 to 60 minutes. Detailed letters and schedules have been mailed to all 8th grade parent(s)/guardian(s). Students and parent(s)/guardian(s) may sign up at the 8th Grade Student/Guardian Orientation night which takes place at the high school on Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Key Fundamentals is a new program created by CHS Key Club to help middle school students continue and maintain the key fundamentals in Reading, English and Mathematics. The fundamentals are the stepping stone to success in these core areas. Students participating in the Key Fundamentals group will be immersed in homework study sessions, math fluency games, English/vocabulary games and reading. Key Fundamentals will begin on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, and will run for the 2nd trimester on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30(snacks will be provided).
