Mentoring 2016

During the 2015-16 school year, Clinton Elementary School launched it's first full year of Mentoring, as a Tier 2 PBIS response to behaviors.  A total of 6 staff members, 1 district employee, and 1 high school and 1 Elementary student agreed to join the mentoring program at CES.  These 9 volunteers were trained on the guidelines and expectations for mentoring.  Once this process was completed, classroom teachers were given the chance to nominate qualifying students.  The students were then linked to their mentor and invited to join in this process with parent permission.  Mentors arranged a 20 minute time frame, once a week.
