  1. Applicant shall submit a Student Profile Statement that is typewritten, consisting of no more than 300 words, stating his/her:

  • Future career goals

  • Work history

  • Any outstanding accomplishments in school or the community


This statement shall not address the applicant’s financial need, marital status, age, race, creed, color, handicap, sex, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, arrest record, conviction record, membership in the National Guard, state defense force or any other reserve component or the military forces of the United States.


  1. Applicant shall attach to his/her application (3) three letters of reference. One must be outside of school setting.  The reference letter shall be no longer than one page, typewritten, and shall address how the author perceives the applicant.  The letter shall not address anything mentioned in paragraph (8) above.  The author of a reference letter shall be:

  • A Present/Former Teacher

  • A Mentor/Advisor/Coach

  • Community Service/Volunteer/Organization Member

  • Past or Former Employer


Applicant shall pick three of the four author categories. Please make sure (1) one reference is outside of the school system.

The Rock County 4-H Fair Alumni Association is pleased to offer $500-$1,000 scholarships to Rock County 4-H and FFA members who have participated in the Rock County 4-H Fair.  Students who will graduate from high school in spring 2018, as well as 2017  high-school graduates who currently are in their first year of post-secondary school, are eligible.  A student may receive this scholarship only once.

What is it?  
The Americanism and Government Scholarship Program fosters interest in all levels of government, citizenship and provides students the opportunity to receive recognition and scholarships.  A fifty (50) question test is administered to test a student’s knowledge of U.S. Government, Wisconsin Government, County Government, the U.S. Constitution and U.S. Flag Etiquette. To complete the test, students must answer an essay question.

A ninth player, selected as the most outstanding member of the All-Academic Team, will be awarded an additional $5,000 scholarship.

All-Academic Team winners will retain their $500 scholarship from their department.

Scholarship recipients will be eligible to receive their scholarships immediately upon graduation from an accredited high school. Scholarship winners must utilize the total award within eight (8) years of their graduation date, excluding active military time.
