The Clinton Community School District has continued to put an emphasis on community education. Running a School district can be very complex and in some ways can be run as a business while in many other aspects cannot be run as a business. The district does not have an ROI as a business would. A School district relies on its community and State and Federal funding to operate.
The Clinton Elementary and current Middle Schools were built in the 1950s/1960s. These buildings have been maintained and in some cases seen some additions and minor renovations over their 60-70 year life spans. Some equipment is original to the buildings and has been kept in operation through what should be 2-3 life cycles. This is no small achievement. Some of these equipment manufacturers stopped making parts years ago and out Buildings and Grounds department has had to find ways of custom making parts to fit this equipment.
The Clinton High School was built in 2001 getting close to 20 years old. This building is in good shape for its age but still has some aging concerns that should be expected such as being in need of a roof replacement.
Recently the District had an assessment done of our facilities and below you can see the conditions scorecard.
At this time the Clinton Community School District's Board of Education is looking for community support and input into how to proceed moving forward with the referendum project they have been working on for a number of years.
For more information please see the links to the right to see the State of the School PowerPoint Presentation, Outcome of the last Referendum, and other related information.
If you would like a tour of any of the buildings or have questions or concerns please contact the District Administrators office at 608-676-5482 option 2.
